Are your fragrances authentic?
Yes. Every fragrance sold by Decants Australia is hand-decanted from a genuine retail bottle. We source our fragrances from authorised Australian retailers wherever possible, along with carefully selected bottles from trusted private collections for discontinued and hard-to-find fragrances.
What is a fragrance sample?
A fragrance sample (also known as a decant) is a smaller amount of fragrance transferred from an original retail bottle into a premium glass atomiser. It allows you to experience a fragrance before investing in a full-sized bottle.
How many sprays are in a 2 mL sample?
A 2 mL atomiser typically provides approximately 25–30 sprays, allowing you to wear the fragrance several times before deciding whether it’s right for you.
Why should I buy a sample instead of a full bottle?
Many luxury fragrances cost several hundred dollars. Sampling allows you to experience a fragrance on your own skin over multiple wears before committing to a full-sized bottle.
Where do you source your fragrances?
Our collection is sourced from authorised Australian retailers wherever possible, including David Jones, Myer, Libertine Parfumerie and other trusted authorised stockists. For discontinued fragrances, we carefully source bottles from reputable private collections.
What size should I choose?
2 mL is ideal if you’re experiencing a fragrance for the first time.
5 mL is perfect if you’ve already tested the fragrance or want enough for regular wear before purchasing a full bottle.
Are your samples refillable?
Our samples are designed for convenience and portability. While they are not intended to be refilled, they are made using premium glass atomisers to provide an excellent spray experience.
How should I store my fragrance samples?
Store your fragrances in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat to preserve their quality.
How long will my order take to ship?
Orders are typically prepared within 1–2 business days before being dispatched. Once shipped, you’ll receive tracking details via email.
Do you offer returns?
Due to the nature of fragrance products, we cannot accept returns for change of mind once a sample has been opened.
However, if your order arrives damaged, incorrect or faulty, please contact us and we’ll work with you to resolve the issue in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Do you ship Australia-wide?
Yes. We currently ship Australia-wide using trusted postal services with tracking provided on eligible orders.
Can I request a fragrance that isn’t listed?
Absolutely. We’re always looking to expand our collection. If there’s a fragrance you’d like to see added, feel free to contact us—we’re always open to suggestions.
Do discontinued fragrances smell different because they’re older?
When stored correctly, fragrances remain remarkably stable for many years. Many discontinued fragrances are highly sought after by collectors because their original formulations are no longer available.
